June was a busy month at the Bush Upper School project site. The generator between Wissner and Gracemont was pulled while extensive site utility work took place and is on-going. Over in the new building, the level 2 concrete topping slab was poured, and framing of level 2 walls began. MEPF (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection) work in the basement and on level 1 made great progress as the building prepares to get sealed-up in the next few months.
Site utility work will continue, along with restricted access to the Upper School in July while the crews prepare for the installation of the new generator at the end of the month. Wood framing will wrap up at the roof with prep work beginning for the roofing membrane and metal roof at the large gable. Inspections will begin in the basement as walls prepare for cover with drywall. At the end of the month, the project will start to receive its fiberglass windows and storefront systems.
